RAVENSWOOD BLOG TOUR OF “THE REVENGE” BY CAROL KRAVETZ LINDAS BOOK OBSESSION REVIEW OF “THE REVENGE” BY CAROL KRAVETZ, Ravenswood Publishing (Black Hawk) Oct.2017 My Review of “The Revenge” by Carol Kravetz WOW! WOW! WOW! “The Revenge” by Carol Kravetz in an intense, captivating thriller. The genres for this book are Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, and Fiction. The timeline is in the present and goes back five years to clarify things pertaining to the characters and events in the story. This is the second book in the series, but it is easily a standalone. The author describes her characters are complex and complicated. Some of the characters in this story are loyal and trustworthy, and other characters are unstable, greedy, and out for revenge. There is definitely a comparison of good and evil. From the blurb in the story, “They say revenge is a dish best served cold, but when you’ve been waiting for the chance for 5 long years, it is cold, sinister..and deadly.” Paul, Dave, Cathy and Krista are not only the best of friends but are detectives that solved their first case together. They work together as a great team. Unknown to Paul, a convict has just been released from prison, where he has been planning a cruel and deadly revenge for 5 years. This convict blames Paul for his son’s death in prison. The released convict is a wealthy person from his dealings with drugs, and has been plotting to get Paul for years. There are twists and turns, and highs and lows. This is like riding a roller coaster, and getting stuck at the top, and then finding your way to the ground, and back up again. The intensity of the suspense is a killer. Two of the team is kidnapped, and Paul is running out of time. BE WARNED; DON’T READ THIS IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GO TO SLEEP. The author uses extremely graphic descriptions of torture and bloodshed. Will the team be reunited? Will the partners be found in time? Will justice prevail? I would recommend this for readers of mystery, thriller and intense stories. My review is part of The Ravenswood “The Revenge” by Carol Kravetz Blog Tour. I eagerly hope to read the author’s next book. Happy Reading!
